When Mom’s away - Grace will play: either at “Baby Owen’s” first birthday party, or with her Great Grandma - talk about going crazy. Meanwhile Lucy traveled to Northern Kentucky and in typical Fuchster fashion, the camera was left behind - so this is a one-daughter posting.
Here Grace is trying to fill her dance card:

After the party, Grace was whisked to the train and spent the rest of the weekend with her Great Grandma:
Recently, Grace and Lucy woke up and thought how nice it would be to “explore human connections with the natural world”. Fortunately, Wave Hill in the Bronx claims to provide precisely that experience (just read its mission statement…) with its manicured gardens and lawns that are so well maintained that it doesn’t even come close to ressembling the “natural” world - especially what one might regard as “natural” in the Bronx these days. But the views and the ”natural” wood chairs certainly are nice :

To it’s credit, the park’s lawn was like a carpet - which inspired Lucy to laugh while striking a series of poses. The first one we call the “running man”:

While at the park, Grace and Lucy experiened a truly incredible coincidence. Grace’s friend Maya, who used to live in our building moved to the Bronx last December - and guess who just happened to be at Wave Hill that day? Although the more than nine months that passed meant that neither Grace nor Maya really remembered each other:

And supporting the theory that the outdoors are so much more interesting than television, Grace and her Dad visited the “pond” and watched, for what seemed like hours, as predator frogs stalked dragonflys. Not quite Hyenas in the Serengeti, but at least the “experience” wasn’t brought to us by Disney or Nickelodeon or MTV:

Lucy’s not really interested in the food chain these days, so she used the “pond” opportunity to catch up on some sleep:

Meanwhile, Grace apparently felt some kinship with the frog (perhaps she gets this from her Uncle Ed), and felt she should get to eat something “special” as well:
