Nothing quite says “6-month birthday” like pseudo-solid food. The introduction of rice cereal was a minor hit for Grace (she tolerated it) and a major hit for her parents (it’s sturdy enough to use a spackle on the walls in their apartment - part of our daily mouse-proofing).
So eating/home improvement has become the new pastime in the Fuchs household. We’re all looking forward to introducing more colorful foods so that eating/painting the walls can be our next hobby.
Here we see Grace showing initial resistance to ingesting her food/spackling compound…

But once she realizes how full it makes her, she gets excited eventually settling into a post-meal satisfied slumber:

In a rare turn of events - Grace was able to spend the afternoon with her Grandma, her Great Grandma and her parents (the last part being not too unusual).
The “poses badly for pictures” gene is shared by all family members in this photo.
There’s something odd about strolling around the northeast in the middle of November in nothing more than a sweatshirt. So instead of the doing the “normal” thing on a day such as this and packing up our Hummer H2 and going for a drive, Grace opted to be simply un-American and go for a walk in the park.
Although this is a severely belated posting, Grace wanted everyone to know that a lack of a costume did not prevent her from enjoying this year’s Halloween Parade in New York City. “Cow” was on Grace’s shortlist of costumes until she ran into this group of guys who were celebrating both Halloween and a much lesser known event: Dorkfest 06.
